Where the EU GDPR applies, processing is based on legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in measuring reach. You may request access, correction, erasure or restriction, object, and complain to a data protection authority.

When you open a short link (qr.preiter.ch/…) or this page, the server records the time, the link used, your IP address, browser and device details (user agent, language, referrer), and the approximate location and network operator or organisation, derived from the IP address with a local database (IP geolocation by DB-IP). No cookies, no tracking scripts, no third-party content.

Purpose: to see how many people arrive through which channel and from which organisations’ networks — in aggregate only. I do not try to identify individuals, combine the data with other sources, use it for advertising or share it.

Retention: full IP addresses are shortened after 90 days. After 12 months, individual records are anonymised: only the date, the link used and the country are kept, as aggregated counts.

After a redirect, LinkedIn’s privacy policy applies.
